Across the North American continent, a record was set for misreporting a record. Most sports journalists have erroneously reported that the Penguins and Devils have both tied a record for best road record to start a season with seven wins and zero losses.

I read on Empty Netters today that everyone is wrong (including me)!

The best road start is 10-0-0 set by the '06-'07 Buffalo Sabres.
